How crafting works: press C for hand recipes. For everything else, walk to the station and press F, pick a recipe, check the ingredients and choose Make. Stay near the station until it finishes. Recipes stay hidden until you have found their materials; turn on Can make to see only what you can afford right now.

Tips

Charcoal is the fuel almost everything needs: burn logs at a campfire. Fuel for the smelter can be logs, charcoal or emberstone.
Some better recipes replace weaker ones once you have the station: sawing planks at a workbench gives twice what splitting by hand does, and the loom and stonecutter have bulk recipes. We list only the current best version at each station.
Finding a new material reveals its recipes and a Journal discovery, so exploring new regions grows your recipe list.
